Abstrak

Introduction/Main Objectives: This study examines online gambling through the lens of maqashid al-shariah, focusing on its threats to hifz al-mal and to the economic protection of youth. Research Methods: A prescriptive-normative legal method was employed through statutory, conceptual, and case approaches, with data analyzed using legal reasoning and deductive logic. Finding/Results: Online gambling threatens hifz al-mal through digital debt cycles, weakened family resilience, and youth vulnerability. The study reconceptualizes hifz al-mal as an active framework for cyber-economic behavior and links it with productive sharia instruments such as mudharabah muqayyadah. Conclusion: A maqashid-oriented digital governance framework is needed to strengthen the economic protection of youth and address gaps in Indonesia’s digital financial norms.
