Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: This study examines shariah compliance in murabahah financing at BPRS Amanah Ummah from the perspectives of fiqh muamalah and DSN-MUI fatwas, particularly in wakalah-based transactions. Research Methods: A qualitative descriptive-analytical approach was used to assess contract pillars, asset ownership, price transparency, and the implementation of wakalah and non-wakalah murabahah mechanisms. Finding/Results: The findings show that BPRS Amanah Ummah formally complies with DSN-MUI fatwas in its murabahah documentation. However, verification of asset ownership and alignment of internal policies with the latest fatwas still require strengthening. Conclusion: Murabahah financing at BPRS Amanah Ummah is formally shariah-compliant, but stronger asset verification and updated internal policies are needed to ensure substantive rather than merely legalistic compliance.
