Main Article Content
Abstract
Introduction/Main Objectives: This study examines sharia compliance, operational risks, and mitigation effectiveness in gold murabahah financing at BSI Sudirman Pasuruan Branch Office. Research Methods: A descriptive qualitative field approach was used through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analysed using the Miles and Huberman model and validated through source, technique, and time triangulation. Finding/Results: Formal sharia compliance was generally met, but gaps remained in gold witnessing and customer understanding. Key risks involved price volatility, stock limits, administrative issues, and sharia risk, while mitigation was effective but still requires stronger supervision, stock management, and customer education. Conclusion: Improving gold murabahah financing requires stronger sharia compliance, supervision, customer literacy, and supply-chain control.
