This study is classroom action research that refers to the model developed by Kunandar, with 18 students in grade IV of elementary school as research subjects. The data analysis in this study used qualitative and quantitative techniques. Qualitative data were obtained from observations of teacher and student activities, while quantitative data were obtained from the results of student learning motivation questionnaires. The results of the study showed that: 1) The application of the Numbered Heads Together model involves steps such as preparation, dividing study groups, discussions, calling student numbers, and drawing conclusions. This model has been proven to significantly increase students' learning motivation based on the results of observations. 2) The application of this model also shows an increase in students' learning motivation, as seen from the differences in the results of the learning motivation questionnaire in the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. In the pre-cycle, the results of the questionnaire showed that students' learning motivation was 66.67%, a sufficient category. In cycle I, learning motivation increased to 90.83%, a very good category. In cycle II, student learning motivation reached 99%, which is a very good category. These results indicate that the Numbered Heads Together cooperative learning model is effective in improving student learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education lessons in grade IV of elementary school. The results of this study have several important implications for learning practices in elementary schools, especially in Islamic Religious Education subjects. The Numbered Heads Together cooperative learning model has been proven effective in improving student motivation and engagement. Teachers can adopt this method to make learning more active and interesting, as well as improve students' social skills such as cooperation and communication. The combination of qualitative and quantitative data in the evaluation allows for continuous adjustments to improve learning outcomes. This study also encourages teachers to continue to develop innovative learning methods and contribute to their professionalism. In addition, schools can consider integrating this model into the curriculum through training and workshops for teachers, so as to improve the quality of education in elementary schools as a whole.
