Education is not merely a process of transferring knowledge but also an effort to internalize values and shape students’ character. In the modern era, the urgency of integrating religious values into school learning has increased as moral degradation, identity crises, and declining social empathy among students become evident. This study aims to explore the concept and significance of religious value integration in the learning process to strengthen students’ moral and spiritual character. Using a literature review approach, the research analyzes various theoretical perspectives and empirical studies related to moral education, Islamic education, and character development. The findings indicate that effective character formation requires the integration of cognitive, affective, and spiritual dimensions within both learning activities and school culture. The integration of religious values not only enhances students’ moral awareness but also nurtures holistic development in line with the goals of Islamic education. Therefore, schools play a strategic role in fostering religious character through value-based learning that harmonizes knowledge, faith, and ethical behavior.
