Developing Religious Character Through The Habit Of Dhuha Prayer For Students Of SDN 1 Sumber

Abstract

Globalization brings various challenges that can influence students' thinking patterns and behavior. In dealing with this phenomenon, cultivating religious character is very important, one of which is through getting used to the Dhuha prayer. This research aims to explore the formation of students' religious character through the practice of regular Dhuha prayers. The method used is descriptive qualitative research, with data collection techniques through interviews and observation. The subjects of this research included all students from grade 1 to grade 6 at SDN 1 Sumber, Purwantoro District, Wonogiri Regency. The results of the research show that the practice of Duha prayer has been implemented well in this school, where the majority of students carry it out voluntarily and with sincerity. This practice not only helps familiarize students with carrying out worship according to Islamic guidelines, but also increases self-discipline and awareness of the importance of prayer times. Overall, the implementation of the Dhuha prayer at SDN 1 Sumber has succeeded in forming and developing the religious character of students, making them more disciplined and religious in their daily lives.
