Abstrak

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly transforming educational systems by supporting personalized learning, intelligent assessment, and innovative teaching practices. In Islamic teacher education, however, the integration of AI presents ethical challenges concerning academic integrity, data privacy, algorithmic bias, human agency, and the preservation of Islamic educational values. Although numerous studies have explored AI in education, limited attention has been given to its ethical integration from an Islamic perspective. This study aims to examine how Islamic ethical principles can guide the responsible adoption of AI in Islamic teacher education. Using a qualitative conceptual approach based on a systematic review of relevant literature and normative analysis of Islamic educational philosophy, the study synthesizes contemporary AI ethics with core Islamic values, including amanah (trustworthiness), 'adl (justice), ihsan (excellence), maslahah (public benefit), and hikmah (wisdom). The findings indicate that AI should function as an educational support tool that enhances teaching and learning while preserving the central role of teachers as moral educators. An Islamic perspective emphasizes that technological innovation must be guided by ethical responsibility, transparency, fairness, accountability, and the broader objectives of Maqāṣid al-Sharī'ah. This perspective provides practical guidance for teacher educators, curriculum developers, and policymakers in designing AI-integrated teacher education programs that are both technologically innovative and ethically grounded. The study contributes to the growing field of AI in education by offering an Islamic ethical perspective that bridges contemporary technological advancements with Islamic educational philosophy, thereby supporting the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 4 on quality education..
