Abstract

The Qur'an has guidelines and procedures for good communication, especially in terms of maintaining interpersonal resilience within the family. It conveys this concept through various styles and patterns of diction within its verses. The Quran sometimes refers to the concept of good speech as qaulan sadida (correct speech), qaulan ma'rufa (good speech), qaulan baligha (effective/impressive speech), qaulan layyina (gentle speech), qaulan karima (noble speech), or qaulan maysura (easy speech). Therefore, it is "paradigmatically" in absentia, which, according to Ferdinand De Saussure, means it can be replaced with other terminology that has a corresponding paradigm. There are diction patterns in the Quran that are designed to explain the reasons for a word's choice in a particular verse. By using paradigmatic analysis as part of a semantic approach, it can be seen that: 1. The results of the identification of verses on family resilience in the Qur'an show that there are 6 (six) wordings that appear in 10 (ten) verses that correlate with the principle of family resilience; 2. In the tafseers, the wordings in the verses on family resilience are interpreted as statements that are true, just, permissible, gentle, and give hope; 3. Paradigmatic analysis of verses on family resilience reveals that the choice of diction in communication language is very dependent on the object of the communicant, namely for whom a language is delivered. Differences in communication patterns have implications for interpersonal relationships and family resilience.
