Abstract

Islam was able to enter and develop in an area due to many reasons. Research conducted in Bedoho village, Sooko District, shows that Islam is starting to be embraced by its residents because it started out of compulsion because there was no other choice to protect themselves from the attacks of the PKI massacre in the G30S PKI tragedy. Then it continued to develop and is still surviving today because of the existence of Islamic foundations and the instillation of Islamic values ​​through Islamic religious education.
