Abstract

In the 21st century, human resources (HR) are required to have critical, creative, and skilled thinking in solving problems; in addition, as preparation for facing the increasingly advanced development of science and technology, Indonesia has begun to implement the HOTS education world as one of its solution strategies. The time required by students in working on HOTS questions with learning outcomes is significant to consider to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the student learning process. This research was conducted at Maguwan 1 Elementary School with data from all fifth-grade students who utilize HOTS questions in their learning process. Furthermore, we use a type of literature study research with a statistical theory approach to test hypotheses and statistical methods; we use time management theory and learning outcome theory. The results we obtained from whether HOTS questions affect time management on thematic learning achievement of fifth grade science at Maguwan 1 Elementary School are that there is a significant influence between time management and student learning outcomes (learning achievement).
