BIOMECHPAS: Integrated Science Media Based on Pascal's Law and Simple Machines for Simulating the Human Arm Movement System
Abstract
This study aims to develop learning media in the form of a teaching aid representing the human arm movement system. This medium is designed to be used in physics lessons on pressure (Pascal’s Law) and biology lessons on the human movement system. The integration of these two subjects is expected to help students better understand the relationship between the concept of pressure and the mechanism of arm movement in humans. In addition, this medium also introduces the concept of simple machines involved in the arm movement system. This type of research is classified as Research and Development (R&D) using a 3D development model, which includes the following stages: (1) defining the requirements, (2) designing the media, and (3) developing and testing the media. Data were collected through validation questionnaires administered to a team of five media and material experts. The obtained data were analyzed using a quantitative descriptive method. The validation test results showed an average score of 4.06, which falls within the “good” category (3.41–4.20). Therefore, it can be concluded that the learning media on the human arm movement system developed in this study is suitable for use as a teaching aid in junior high school science education
