AR-Spin Static Edusites: 3D Learning Innovation that Integrates Google Sites, Augmented Reality, and Interactive Games for Science Learning in the Era of Society 5.0
Abstract
he advancement of digital technology in the Society 5.0 era demands innovative learning media that are not only informative but also foster mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning experiences. Science learning still faces challenges in connecting abstract concepts with real experiences, especially in static electricity, which is often difficult for students to grasp, particularly in 3T (frontier, outermost, and disadvantaged) regions with limited educational access. To address this issue, AR-Spin Static Edusites was developed as a 3D technology-based innovation integrating Google Sites as a learning hub, Augmented Reality (AR) for visualizing static electricity phenomena, and interactive spin games to enhance conceptual understanding. This study aims to develop and assess the feasibility of AR-Spin Static Edusites using the Thiagarajan 3D Research and Development (R&D) model, which includes define, design, and develop stages. Validators consisted of science teachers and alumni of the PPG Science Education program. The validation instrument assessed the suitability, accuracy, efficiency, aesthetics, and safety of the material. The results indicated an average validity score of 86% (highly valid). The media is considered innovative, adaptable to technological progress, and suitable as a supporting medium to enhance students’ understanding of science concepts in sustainable learning.
