Implementation of Character Education Based on Akhlakul Karimah through Science Learning at Ma'arif 5 Junior High School in Ponorogo
Abstract
Amidst the rapid development of science and technology, education is required not only to produce intellectually intelligent students, but also those with strong character and noble morals. This study aims to describe the implementation of character education based on akhlakul karimah (good morals) in science learning at SMP Ma'arif 5 Ponorogo. The approach used is qualitative with a case study type because it focuses on the process and meaning of applying moral and religious values in science learning activities. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that science teachers integrate akhlakul karimah values through the habit of religious attitudes, discipline, responsibility, and gratitude for the creations of Allah SWT, which strengthen the spiritual and social character of students.
