The development of digital technology has had a positive impact on education, but it has also given rise to phubbing (phone snubbing) behavior among students, which can disrupt social interaction and learning concentration. This phenomenon is still found among eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Pulung Ponorogo, necessitating the active role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in addressing it. This study aims to analyze the role of PAI teachers as educators, leaders, and facilitators in addressing phubbing and strengthening students' social interactions. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were obtained through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers play a role as educators through personal development and role models for wise mobile phone use, as leaders through the application of discipline and pedagogical management of mobile phone use, and as facilitators through interactive learning and religious activities. These roles have an impact on increasing student awareness in the use of technology and the formation of more positive social interactions in the school environment.
